that's a lot of action in one week on the charts! check out what reviewers have to say about "buttah buttah" here.
for those of you who aren't familiar with garageband.com, it is a website that allows bands to upload their songs for review by their peers. their peers then rate them on a 5 point scale and songs either climb, or fall on the charts based on it's reviews. it's a great tool for the indie band trying to get advice on certain aspects of their songs, to see what works and what doesn't. try it and you'll love it, it's a great way to find new hot talent on the web.

we have a few shows coming up, we'll add them once they're confirmed...stay tuned.
also, we wanted to make sure you didn't think we fell off the face of the planet...yet.
jay is back from his european vacation, mr. clifton is still hard at work in teacher's college, and frank is busy watching a lot of t.v. (soaps, mostly).
again, there will be shows throughout the holiday season at various places, so keep your eyes peeled!
ciao for now,

big wheel and the spokes will be having an official cd release party for our ep "barley soup for the funky-ass soul" on july 14th at loplops lounge. we will play our 1 hour set at rotary fest and head over to loplops to jam the rest of the night away with some of our closest friends. slated to appear are al wood, lindsay pugh, ed young, chris belsito, craig west, the economy studz and more....basically if you want to watch the people who were playing the rotaryfest second stage, come to loplops. tickets are $5 and are available for sale at loplops lounge (online sales later this week - check back often), thomas walls school of music, or by contacting us directly using the contact form on this website (or email info@bigwheelandthespokes.com). the ticket price is redeemable for either a cd or merchandise (t-shirts, stickers, buttons, etc.), so the admission is basically free! there are only 100 tickets being sold and it's sure to sell out, so get your tickets early!
peace,
bws
p.s. - keep your eyes peeled for a big wheel story in the sault star next week in the city section....

the very lovely and very talented miss donna hopper has created a "myspace" page for big wheel and the spokes. for those of you who aren't sure what myspace is, find out by clicking here and having a browse around our new space. leave comments, listen to music, look at pictures, etc. it has completely different content than this site....giving you one more place to find out what's happening with big wheel and the spokes. thanks again, donna....you kick arse!
ciao for now,

hey y'all,
big wheel and the spokes are going to be performing at the dragonboat festival this saturday afternoon from 3:15 - 4:15 pm. other performers include source code, startlefish and jay case solo acoustic. there will be sunshine, food, drink, music and dragonboats....what more do you want on a saturday afternoon?
be there to lend your support to the rotary commitee, or your favorite dragonboat team. rumour has it that jay and frank are rowing for the loplops squad.....or at least sitting in the boat holding a paddle. this should be interesting....
cya there,
frank, jay and cliff
